William M. Shields, CPA began his professional career in 1980 after graduating from the University of Texas with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Following his graduation, he was employed in Houston, Texas by KPMG as a tax specialist and by Burch & Company where he was admitted as a partner responsible for the development of financial and tax planning strategies for clients in the engineering, health care, financial service, oil and gas, professional service, property and casualty insurance, and real estate industries. From 1988 to 1990, Mr. Shields served as the Chief Financial Officer of Myron F. Steves & Company where he was responsible for the management of the accounting, administrative, financial, information technology and taxation functions of the Company and its affiliated property and casualty insurance entities.
Greta S. Drennan, CPA
Greta S. Drennan, CPA began her professional career in 1984 after graduating from the University of Texas with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Following her graduation, she was employed first in Houston, Texas as a staff auditor by Arthur Andersen & Co. and then as a senior staff accountant and supervisor of selected revenue accounting functions by Continental Airlines where she was primarily responsible for the accounting, reporting and reconciliation of domestic ticket sales. In 1990, Pilot Air Freight, Inc. employed Ms. Drennan to supervise the establishment, maintenance and implementation of automated accounting, employee payroll, and fringe benefit reporting systems and in 1991, she was employed by Congregation Beth Yeshurun where she worked directly with the rabbis, executive director, headmaster, and committee chairpersons and was responsible for the primary administrative functions of the not for profit organization.
Lori B. Whitmire, CPA
Lori B. Whitmire began her professional career in 1981 after graduating from Texas A&M – Corpus Christi with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Following her graduation, she was employed in Corpus Christi first by Fox & Company as a Staff Accountant performing audit and tax services primarily for clients in the financial service and oil and gas industries and then by Ernst & Young where she provided clients with tax planning and compliance services. In 1984, she relocated to Tyler, Texas and was employed as a Senior Accountant by Gollob, Morgan, Peddy & Company, P.C. where she provided clients with comprehensive tax planning and compliance services. From 1986 to 1999, Ms. Whitmire was employed as a Practice Administrator and Executive Officer by Trinity Clinic and Trinity Mother Frances Healthcare System where she managed physician compensation and benefit programs and assisted with physician practice mergers and acquisitions.
Kimberley L. Hammons
Kimberley L. Hammons began her professional career in 2000 when she was employed by William M. Shields, P.C. as the firm’s receptionist and professional staff administrator. Initially, her responsibilities included maintenance of client records, and the coordination and administration of technical support services for the firm’s professional staff.
